The project will investigate and demonstrate a very cost-effective system for delivery of personal radio and multi-media services to moving vehicles by the use of end-of-life, inclined-orbit, Ku-Band satellites.
The management of content delivery such, that signal blocking effects due to the mobility of the user are mitigated and users appear to receive an uninterrupted stream of personalised radio and multimedia content is main focus of the project.
TriaGnoSys is responsible to design and integrate the landmobile Ku satellite antenna and the regarding pointing, acquisition and tracking system.

The project is developing wireless access technologies inside an aircraft cabin. Several access technologies in the cabin are envisaged for passengers: UMTS, Bluetooth, and W-LAN. Such an infrastructure comprises
the cabin segment with several wireless access segments,
a satellite segment for connection to the terrestrial telecom networks, and
an aircom service provider segment.
a demonstration campaign will be performed in commercial long-haul aircraft (A340) via a GEO satellite link.
