PRECAUTIONS

PLEASE READ THOROUGHLY THESE PRECAUTIONS BEFORE THE INSTALLATION .

• Do not pinch the rear wiring or harness in the tightened part.

• Be sure to disconnect the nega-tive (-) lead from the battery ter-minals.

• When passing the wires throughthe dashboard or other panels,use a grommet to ensure water-proofing.

• Protect the wiring with tapewhen it is passed through a hole.

• When disconnecting the con-nectors, be sure to grip the con-nector body. Do not tug on thewiring.

• Do not forcibly pull any carwiring harness. Rough tuggingmay result in opened connec-tions, or a broken wire or har-ness.

• Confirm that lamps, horn, wiperand other car accessories operatenormally.

• Protect your car with fendercovers, seat and so on.

• Use the correct tool whentightening bolts or nuts.

• Before drilling a hole, checkthat the rear of the mount-ing wall is clear.

• Be sure to firmly tight-en connectors and ter-minals.

• Before connecting thepower wiring to the battery,check the wiring con-nections, harness, etc. to seethat they are properlysecured.

• Check body and trim near area of installation to be certain no dirt or scratches resulted from the installa-tion.

7. Remove the scuff plate and the cowlside trim on the passenger’s side.

1. Cut one tape into ten pieces andanother tape into six as shown in thepicture.

b) Connect the changer wire harness tothe audio unit by using the AVC-LANconversion wire 08695-000370.

5. Route the changer wire . Bundleexcess wire and tape with the large tape as shown by going through thehole of the cross member near the door.

6. Replace the carpet and pull through thechanger wire . Install the bracket to the floor.

Re-assembly.Replace all removed parts and panels. Be sure all panel clips and connectors are proper-ly engaged.

12. Install the side brackets to the chang-er unit .

Re-assembly.Replace all removed parts and panels. Be sure all panel clips and connectors are proper-ly engaged.

Rattling noises might be heard whenthere’s something in the tray under theseat.
