Mehr als sechs Jahre nach seiner Eröff-nung gehört der futuristisch wirkende Glaskubus des Museion zum Alltag der Boznerinnen und Bozner. Die oszillierend-geschwungene Form der Brücken ver-klammert Teile der Stadt und scheint diese fast schon zu umarmen. Mir gefällt dieses Bild, weil es genau das ausdrückt, was wir hier jeden Tag mit un-serer Arbeit erreichen wollen. Wir laden das einheimische Publikum und auswär-tige Besucher dazu ein, zeitgenössische Kunst in unserem Haus zu entdecken und zu erleben. Denn Kunst ist eine vitale Kraft, die Augen und Geist auf einmalige Art und Weise anregt. Kunst ist hilfreich, wenn es darum geht, aus unserem Le-bensalltag herauszutreten und diesen aus neuen Blickwinkeln zu betrachten. Kurz gesagt: Kunst hält uns wach.

2015 ist ein Jahr der Konsolidierung, in dem das Museion aber auch Bilanz zieht. Die Ausstellungen setzen einen bereits in Gang gesetzten Dialog mit ausgewählten Künstlerinnen und Künstlern fort. Wäh-rend die Sammlung das Herz des Museion bleibt, widmet das Haus dem Thema Sam-meln in all seinen Facetten in diesem Jahr besondere Aufmerksamkeit. Mit der Einzelausstellung des Engländers Cerith Wyn Evans fügt sich Museion per-fekt in das von der UNO proklamierte in-ternationale Jahr des Lichts 2015 ein. Das Museion bietet aber nicht nur Ausstellun-gen an. Unsere intensive und erfolgreiche Vermittlungsarbeit setzen wir auch 2015 fort. Dank dieses breitgefächerten Ange-bots mit ersten „Gebrauchsanweisungen” oder wertvollen Hintergrundinformationen zu Künstlern, einzelnen Kunstwerken oder ausstellungsbezogenen Themen, können sich Besucherinnen und Besucher aller Al-tersgruppen bei uns mit zeitgenössischer Kunst vertraut machen.

A oltre sei anni dall’apertura della nuova sede, il cubo di vetro di Museion e la sua architettura futuristica sono entrati ormai nel quotidiano dei cittadini di Bolzano. Le lunghe curve oscillanti dei ponti mettono in collegamento la città e sembrano quasi volerla abbracciare. Mi piace quest’immagine, perché in effetti è quello che cerchiamo di fare ogni giorno con le nostre proposte: chiamare il pubbli-co – vicino e lontano – a vivere l’esperien-za dell’arte contemporanea. Perché l’arte è una forza viva, capace stimolare tutti i sensi. E soprattutto in grado di aiutarci a fare una passo indietro dal quotidiano, per guardarlo sotto altri punti di vista, e quindi tenerci “svegli”.

Il 2015 rappresenta un anno di consolida-mento, ma anche di bilanci per Museion. Le mostre in programma continuano un dialogo già intrapreso con gli artisti scelti. Mentre la collezione continua ad essere il “cuore” di Museion, il tema del collezio nis-mo in tutte le sue sfaccettature è un nu-cleo d’interesse particolare di quest’anno. Con la personale del britannico Cerith Wyn Evans Museion si inserisce, inoltre, in quello che l’ONU ha proclamato Anno In-ternazionale della Luce. Non solo mostre. Che si tratti delle prime istruzioni per l’uso o di approfondimenti su temi specifici, Mu-seion continuerà ad offrire ai visitatori di tutte le età un ampio ventaglio di proposte per avvicinarsi al contemporaneo.

In the six years since Museion's new venue opened, the futuristic glass cube has be-come part of everyday life for the people of Bolzano. The graceful oscillating curves of the bridges link the different parts of the city, as if embracing it. I like this image because it is basically what we set out to do every day: encour-age the public – from near and far – to engage with the experience of contem-porary art. Because art is a living force, which stimulates all of our senses. And above all it helps us take a step back from our everyday existence, and see it from a different angle: it helps us stay on the ball, as it were.

2015 will be a consolidation year for Mu-seion, and an opportunity to take stock of the last few years. The exhibitions sched-uled see Museion reconnecting with art-ists it has worked with in the past, at the same time, its collection remains the heart of Museion, and the theme of collecting in all senses, is of particular interest in this year’s programme. Moreover, the solo show of Welsh artist Ce-rith Wyn Evans, also ties in with the Inter-national Year of Light announced by the UN. Aside from the exhibition programme, Museion will continue to offer visitors of all ages a wide range of opportunities to engage with contemporary art, including both basic introductions and specific infor-mation on artists, works or themes related to its exhibitions.

Mit ihren Arbeiten reaktiviert Rossella Bis-cotti Erinnerung, legt neue Perspektiven zur Betrachtung von Geschichte frei und verleiht dieser in der Auseinandersetzung mit der Gegenwart unerwartete Aktuali-tät. Die erste Ausstellung der Künstlerin in einem italienischen Museum zeichnet mit für diesen Anlass entstandenen Werken und Neubearbeitungen älterer Projekte Etappen ihrer künstlerischen Entwicklung nach. Gezeigt werden Silikonabdrücke des Ensembles „Le Teste in Oggetto” aus dem Jahr 2009 – fünf Köpfe aus Bron-ze von Vittorio Emanuele III und Benito Mussolini, die für die 1942 geplante und dann abgesagte Weltausstellung in Rom in Auftrag gegeben worden waren – und „The Prison of Santo Stefano” (2011–13) mit Bleigüssen der Fußbodenstruktur aus dem 1793 auf der Insel Santo Stefano im Golf von Gaeta errichteten Gefängnisbau.

Rossella Biscotti (Molfetta 1978, lebt und ar-beitet in Brüssel) ist eine der interessantesten Künstlerinnen ihrer Generation. 2009 erhielt sie den renommierten Premio MAXXI. 2012 war sie bei dOCUMENTA (13) in Kassel und 2013 bei der 55. Biennale in Venedig vertreten. Für das Museion entwickelte die Künstlerin 2009 ein Projekt über das Durch-gangslager in Bozen. 2012 nahm sie an der Themenausstellung „The New Public” teil.

Nelle sue opere Rossella Biscotti riattiva costantemente la memoria, apre a nuo-ve prospettive il tempo storico e lo rende attuale nella rilettura del presente. L’e-sposizione, prima personale dell’artista in un museo italiano, rilegge alcune tappe significative del suo percorso con nuovi lavori realizzati per l’occasione e tracce di lavori già avviati. In mostra i calchi del progetto “Le Teste in Ogget-to” del 2009, le cinque teste di bronzo di Vittorio Emanuele III e Benito Mussolini realizzate nel 1942 per l’Esposizione Uni-versale di Roma, poi annullata, e “The Prison of Santo Stefano” (2011–13) ovvero i calchi del pavimento del carcere dell’i-sola pontina.

Rossella Biscotti (Molfetta 1978, vive e la-vora a Bruxelles) è una delle più interes-santi artiste della sua generazione. Dopo l’importante riconoscimento del premio MAXXI (2010) ha partecipato a dOCU-MENTA (13) a Kassel nel 2012 e ha preso parte alla Biennale di Venezia (2013). Per Museion l’artista ha realizzato un progetto sul lager di Bolzano (2008) e nel 2012 ha partecipato alla collettiva “The New Pu-blic”.

In her works Rossella Biscotti strives to reactivate memories, opening past time up to new perspectives and creating contemporary reinterpretations in the light of the present. The solo show, the artist’s first in an Italian museum, traces some of the key stages in her career, with new works produced for the occasion and elements of past projects. It includes her 2009 project “Le Teste in Oggetto”, five bronze heads of King Vittorio Ema-nuele III and Benito Mussolini, created in 1942 for the Universal Expo in Rome, which was subsequently cancelled, and

“The Prison of Santo Stefano” (2011–13), tracings of the floor of the prison in the Pontine Islands.

Rossella Biscotti (Molfetta 1978, lives and works in Brussels), is one of the most in-teresting artists of her generation. After receiving the MAXXI Award (2010), she took part in dOCUMENTA (13) in Kassel in 2012 and the Venice Biennale in 2013. For Museion the artist created a project on the concentration camp in Bolzano (2008) and in 2012 she took part in the group show “The New Public”.

2011 hatte der Designer Martino Gamper (Meran, 1971, lebt und arbeitet in London) die Passage im Erdgeschoss des Museion gestaltet. Jetzt kehrt er als Kurator nach Bozen zurück. „design is a state of mind” setzt sich mit der Geschichte des Objekts-designs und dessen Einfluss auf unseren Lebensalltag auseinander. Gezeigt wird eine breite Auswahl von Regalentwürfen. Die Exponate decken einen Zeitrahmen ab, der 1930 beginnt und bis in die Gegen-wart reicht. Dabei umfasst die Ausstellung „Klassiker” der Designgeschichte, Einzelstü-cke sowie Beispiele eines im 21. Jahrhun-dert entstandenen industriellen und funkti-onalen Designs mit Arbeiten von Gaetano Pesce, Ettore Sottsass, Ercol, Gio Ponti und IKEA. Die Aufbewahrungssysteme in der Ausstellung dienen sowohl der Unterbrin-gung von Objektsammlungen aus den persönlichen Archiven von Freunden und Kollegen des Kurators als auch der Prä-sentation einer umfangreichen Bibliothek mit Publikationen über zeitgenössisches Möbeldesign aus aller Welt. Zudem hat Martino Gamper für diese Ausstellung – in Koproduktion mit der Serpentine Gallery in London, dem Museion in Bozen und der Pinacoteca Agnelli in Turin – neue Regal-komponenten entwickelt.

Dopo aver ideato lo spazio di Passage, il designer Martino Gamper (Merano, 1971, vive e lavora a Londra) torna a Museion in veste di curatore. “design is a state of mind” mette in luce la storia degli oggetti di design e del loro impatto sulla nostra vita con un’ampia selezione di sistemi di scaffalatura dal 1930 ai giorni nostri. Muo-vendosi in un raggio che comprende clas-sici del design storico, pezzi unici, lavori di design industriale e funzionale contempo-ranei, o comunque commissionati recen-temente, sono esposti i progetti di Gaeta-no Pesce, Ettore Sottsass, Ercol, Gio Ponti e IKEA. Ogni elemento espositivo è utilizza-to per organizzare ed esporre collezioni di oggetti dagli archivi personali di amici e colleghi di Gamper e ospita inoltre un’am-pia biblioteca di pubblicazioni sui mobili contemporanei da tutto il mondo. Per l’oc-casione sono state realizzate nuove scaf-falature di Martino Gamper, co-prodotte dalla Serpentine Gallery, Londra, Museion e dalla Pinacoteca Agnelli, Torino.

The designer Martino Gamper (Merano, 1971, lives and works in London), who de-signed the Passage area of Museion, now returns as a curator. “design is a state of mind” explores the history of design ob-jects and their impact on our lives, present-ing a vast selection of shelving systems from the 1930s to the present. From design classics, one-off pieces, recent commis-sions and contemporary, functional indus-trial design, the show includes projects by Gaetano Pesce, Ettore Sottsass, Ercol, Gio

Ponti and IKEA. Each element on show is also used to arrange and present collec-tions of objects from the personal archives of friends and colleagues of Gamper’s, as well as a well-stocked library of pub-lications on contemporary furniture from all over the world. The exhibition also features new shelving units designed by Gamper, co-produced by The Serpentine Gallery, London, Museion and Pinacoteca Agnelli, Turin.

Cerith Wyn Evans ist fasziniert von der Art und Weise, wie wir Texte, Sprachen und Menschen verstehen. In seinen Arbei-ten mit zahlreichen Querverbindungen zu Kino, Literatur und Philosophie öffnen sich scheinbar bekannte Elemente für eine Vielzahl unerwarteter Bedeutungen. Der Künstler stimuliert damit das Nachden-ken über Dinge, deren Sinngebung sich als unbeständig erweist, sobald sich ihr Umfeld und ihre Struktur sowie der Stand-punkt des Betrachters verändern.

Cerith Wyn Evans (Wales 1958, lebt und arbeitet in London) stellt seit den achtziger Jahren international aus. Jüngste Einzel-ausstellungen (Auswahl): TBA-21 Augar-ten, Wien (2013), Kunsthall Bergen (2011), Casa Luis Barragán, Mexico City (2010). 2002 nahm er an der Documenta11 in Kassel, 2003 als Vertreter von Wales an der Biennale in Venedig teil. Das Werk des Künstlers ist breit angelegt: von Installa-tionen über Licht- und Klangskulpturen bis zur Fotografie und zum Video.

Ciò che guida Cerith Wyn Evans è il fa-scino per la percezione e il modo in cui comprendiamo testi, linguaggi, persone. Nelle sue opere, ricche di contaminazioni tra cinema, letteratura e filosofia, elementi riconoscibili si aprono a una molteplicità di significati inaspettati. L’artista stimola così la riflessione sull’instabilità del senso delle cose nel momento in cui cambiano ambiente, prospettiva o stato fisico.

Cerith Wyn Evans (Wales 1958, vive e lavora a Londra) ha esposto in mostre e rassegne internazionali sin dagli anni Ot-tanta. The work of Cerith Wyn Evans is inspired by his fascination with perception and the way in which we understand texts, language and other people. Mingling ele-ments of film, literature and philosophy, his pieces cast recognizable objects in a new light, opening up a host of unexpected meanings. He sets out to spark reflections on the instability of the meanings we at-tribute to the things around us, transferred into a different setting or physical state, or observed from a different perspective.

Die Ausstellung stellt Arbeiten vor, die in den vergangenen sieben Jahren als An-käufe, Schenkungen oder Leihgaben in die Sammlung des Museion aufgenom-men wurden. Auch wenn diese Werke Forschungsschwerpunkte des Hauses re-präsentieren wie etwa die Entwicklung der zeitgenössischen Skulptur, zeigt der Ausstellungsparcours wie durchlässig die Schranken zwischen traditionellen künst-lerischen Kategorien geworden sind. Eine spezielle Sektion ist Künstlerbüchern ge-widmet, die mit Werken aus der Samm-lung in einen Dialog treten. Das Jahr 2015 wurde von der UNO zum internationalen Jahr des Lichts erklärt und deshalb steht eine breite Auswahl von Lichtarbeiten am am Beginn dieser Ausstellung.

La mostra presenta opere entrate a far parte del patrimonio di Museion negli ultimi sette anni, come acquisizioni, do-nazioni o in qualità di comodato. Anche se i lavori sono suddivisi secondo i nuclei tematici di ricerca del museo, come ad esempio i nuovi linguaggi della scultura, dal percorso espositivo emerge quanto le categorie artistiche tradizionali siano di-ventate fluide. Una sezione speciale è ri-servata ai libri d’artista, in dialogo con al-cune opere della collezione. Il 2015 è stato proclamato dall’ONU Anno internaziona-le della luce: in questo senso, la mostra si apre con un’ampia sezione dedicata pro-prio alle opere di luce.

The exhibition presents works that have joined Museion's collection in the last seven years, as acquisitions, donations or long-term loans. They all tie in with the research themes pursued by the muse-um, such as the new directions in sculp-ture, and the exhibition brings to light the fact that traditional artistic categories no

longer always exist separately from one another. There is a special section devoted to artist's books and graphic art, which in-terface with some of the works in the col-lection. 2015 has been proclaimed Inter-national Year of Light by the UN, and the exhibition opens with a large selection of light art works.

100 Objekte erzählen vom Werk und von der Denkweise bedeutender Persönlich-keiten der internationalen Kunstszene in den vergangenen 50 Jahren. Die Expona-te – Kunstwerke, Schallplatten, Einladun-gen oder Plakate – stammen aus den Ar-chiven des Künstlers Maurizio Nannucci, der zu diesem Anlass als Sammler auftritt.

Maurizio Nannucci (Florenz, 1939) stellt an Hand von hundert Objekten die Kunstent-wicklung seit den 1960er Jahren dar. Als Künstler nahm Nannucci mehrere Male an der Biennale in Venedig, an der Do-cumenta in Kassel und an den Biennalen in São Paulo (Brasilien) teil. Seine Arbeiten wurden weltweit in private Sammlungen aufgenommen oder befinden sich im Be-sitz angesehener Museen, vom Museum of Modern Art in New York bis zum Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris. In der Samm-lung Museion ist Nannucci mit mehreren großformatigen Lichtarbeiten vertreten.

Cento oggetti molto speciali raccontano l’opera e il modo di pensare di alcuni pro-tagonisti dell’arte degli ultimi 50 anni. I pezzi – dall’arte ai vinili, fino ad oggetti effimeri come inviti e manifesti – proven-gono dalle collezioni dell’artista Maurizio Nannucci, che in questa occasione è pre-sentato in veste di collezionista.

Maurizio Nannucci (Firenze, 1939) nella sua ricerca esplora le relazioni tra arte, lin-guaggio e immagine. Ha partecipato più volte alla Biennale di Venezia, alla Docu-menta di Kassel, e alle Biennali di San Pa-olo. Le sue opere sono nelle collezioni di numerosi musei in tutto il mondo, dal Mu-seum of Modern Art di New York al Centre Georges Pompidou di Parigi. Nella colle-zione Museion Nannucci è presente con diverse opere di luce di grande formato.

One hundred very special objects reveal the works and modus operandi of some of the key figures in art in the last fifty years. All of the pieces – from artworks to vinyls, and ephemera like invitations and posters – come from collections belonging to the artist Maurizio Nannucci, who appears as a collector on this occasion.

The work of Maurizio Nannucci (Florence, 1939) explores the relationships between art, language and images. He has taken part in the Venice Biennale, Documenta in Kassel and the Sao Paulo Biennale many times, and his pieces are in the col-lections of numerous museums around the world, from the Museum of Modern Art in New York to the Pompidou Centre in Paris. Nannucci features in the Museion collec-tion with various large format works.

Im Kontext ⁄ Nel Contesto ⁄ In Context

Der Kunsthistoriker, Kurator und Univer-sitätsdozent Andreas Hapkemeyer führt das Publikum auf Entdeckungsreise und erklärt auf einfache Art und Weise die grundlegenden Konzepte zeitgenössischer Kunst. Anstoß für diese Führungen sind die laufenden Ausstellungen und es gibt auch genügend Zeit und Gelegenheit für Fragen aus dem Publikum.

Andreas Hapkemeyer, storico dell’arte, curatore e docente universitario, guida il pubblico attraverso un viaggio affasci-nante per avvicinare anche i non esperti ad alcuni concetti base dell’arte contem-poranea. La guida prende le mosse dalle mostre in corso e prevede un momento di scambio con il pubblico, dedicato a do-mande e risposte.

Andreas Hapkemeyer, art historian, cura-tor and university lecturer guides curious visitors (no former knowledge is required) along a fascinating journey that ap-proaches the basic concepts of contempo-rary art. The tour is inspired by the current exhibitions and leaves ample time for a questions and answers session.

Im UNESCO Jahr des Lichts 2015 präsen-tiert Museion in Zusammenarbeit mit ewo eine neue Gesprächsreihe. Im Zentrum der ewoTALKS stehen die vielfältigen Wech-selbeziehungen zwischen Kunst, Design, Architektur, Wirtschaft und Technologie. An drei Abenden diskutieren lokale und internationale Gäste zu unterschiedlichen Aspekten des Themenfelds.

Nell’Anno Internazionale della Luce Mu-seion presenta, in collaborazione con ewo, un nuovo ciclo di conversazioni. Al cen-tro degli ewoTALKS i legami tra arte, de-sign, architettura, economia e tecnologia. Per tre serate esperti della scena locale e internazionale discutono di queste tema-tiche nei loro diversi aspetti e molteplici sfaccettature.

During the International Year of Light Mu-seion, in collaboration with ewo, presents a new series of conferences. ewoTALKS focus upon the link between art, design, archi-tecture, business and technology. On three different evenings, local and international experts will discuss these issues on different levels and from various points of view.

Ausgehend vom Ausstellungsprogramm thematisiert die artiparlando-Reihe 2015 das Verhältnis von Sammlung und Objekt. Dabei müssen die gesammelten Objekte nicht ausschließlich Kunst- oder Designob-jekte sein; es kann sich ebenso gut um All-tagsobjekte handeln, deren kulturelle Funk-tion hinterfragt wird. Das Thema wird aus verschiedenen Perspektiven beleuchtet.

Il nuovo ciclo di artiparlando prende le mosse dalle mostre in programma ed è quindi dedicato al rapporto tra la collezio-ne e l’oggetto. Gli oggetti collezionati non devono necessariamente essere pezzi di design o opere d’arte – può trattarsi anche di oggetti quotidiani, di cui viene messa in luce la funzione culturale. Il tema viene analizzato da diverse prospettive.

The 2015 series of artiparlando is inspired by the exhibitions programme and dedi-cated to the relationship between collect-ing and the object. Collected objects are not necessarily works of art or design pieces, they can also be everyday objects with a questionable cultural function. This theme will be analysed from various perspectives.

Das Museion lädt Bildungseinrichtungen, die mit Menschen mit Migrationshinter-grund arbeiten, dazu ein, unser Haus mit ihren Gruppen zu besuchen und als Ort des kulturellen Austauschs kennenzu-lernen. Angeregt durch Kunst wird hier gemeinsam eine fremde Sprache vertieft und die eigene Kreativität in Erfahrung gebracht.

Museion invita le istituzioni culturali del territorio che operano nella formazione rivolta ai nuovi cittadini a scoprire i suoi spazi come luogo di conoscenza e inter-scambio culturale. Prendendo spunto dalle opere d’arte verrà approfondita la lingua, per loro straniera, attraverso espe-rienze personali e creatività.

Museion invites local cultural institutions that work with immigrants to make use of the spaces available in the museum as a place of cultural exchange. Using art as a stimulus, a common foreign language can be delved into and individuals’ crea-tivity brought out.

Ein regelmäßig stattfindender, geselliger Austausch, in dem nicht die Kunst allein im Mittelpunkt steht: Anlass zum Erzäh-len können ein Kunstwerk, ein Text oder Gedicht, ein persönlicher Gegenstand, eine Melodie oder die Begegnung mit KollegInnen des Museion sein. Jeder, der möchte, darf hier zu Wort kommen und gehört werden!

Un’attività che si svolge regolarmente, un momento di incontro, dove l’arte non è la sola protagonista. Gli spunti per il racconto possono essere opere d’arte, te-sti, poesie, un oggetto personale, una fo-tografia, una melodia oppure un incontro con colleghi di Museion. In questi incontri, chiunque lo desidera può prendere parola e raccontarsi!

A regular chance to meet up and ex-change thoughts and ideas. Not only is an art work often the focus of discussion, but prose or poems, an object brought along by someone, a melody or a meeting with Museion staff. Everyone has a chance to speak and be listened to!
