Development History of Siku

1921Richard Sieper founds – at the beginning of the era of inflation – a casting foundry company in Luedenscheid, the base of the Sieper GmbH today. Production of consumer goods like cutleries made of aluminium and ashtrays.

1950Registration of the brand name SIKU (SIEPER KUNSTSTOFFE).SIKU exhibits at the first Nuremberg Toy Fair and displays there for the first time toys made of plastics (incl. a farm with animals). In the ensuing years the product range is expanded further.

1954Production of the first 32 SIKU toy-model vehicles made of plastic in scale 1:60.

1963Beginning of the production of toy models made of metal which are produced in a zinc casting process. It all began with 16 models – today the assortment encompasses 250 toy models.

1984Take-over of the traditional Berlin-based company Wiking Modellbau. WIKING produces model vehicles made of plastic, where detail is very close to the original, at the scale of 1:87 (H0) and 1:160 (trace N).

2004With SIKUCONTROL32 movement comes to play. For the first time ever SIKU tractor models move electronically with remote-control. At the end of 2004 the assortment begins with two tractors.

2010The new series of agricultural models in scale 1:50 will be introduced to the market.It is now possible to combine the themes of city and country to one world of play in scale 1:50.

2012Opening of the SIKU/ WIKING Model World at the company headquarter in Luedenscheid

What kind of suppliers are we looking for? Please kindly pay attention the following points:

1. You should accept OEM orders only.

2. You can do 3D design, it means, we give you our idea, you can make it.

3. You can do Prototype.

4. You can do Mold Manufacture, it means, you have full set of mold making machines, equipped with

high precision EDM sparking machine, CNC machine, Vertical milling machine, Grinder, Lathe etc. and

you can use computer to monitor the whole processing professionally.

5. You should have Automatic Alloy Polishing, because it provides a high-volume and effective polishing

for the molded die casting parts.

6. You have Die-Casting, it means, you have Die Cast injection for a variety of different sizes and

shape of replicas.

7. You have Injection molding, which can make automatic, semiautomatic and manual injection

molding operation, can quickly mass-produce plastic parts of any material.

9. You have also Manual/Mask spraying with different size of spraying guns disignated for different

size and shape of the spraying area. 10. You have high quality Tampo Printing production with equipment of different scales of high

efficient tempo machines.11. You can do Assembly and Packaging, you have all kinds of packaging equipments and are capable

to produce a comprehensive assembly and packaging. Adequate well trained skillful labour ensure a

timely completion with quality.

12. You must do QA. Not only the products' quality, but also the operation quality is very important,

All the applied materials are complied with EN71, and ASTM F-963., PAH, Phthalates.

13. You must have ISO and ICTI certification.
