Bayerns Wirtschaft – International weiterhin auf der Überholspur

2017 exportierten bayerische Unternehmen Waren im Wert von 192,1 Mrd. Euro. Ein Plus von 5,4 % gegenüber 2016 und ein neuer Außenhandelsrekord - der siebte in Folge. Bei den Importen fiel der Anstieg noch höher aus. Bayern importierte Waren im Wert von 179,8 Mrd. Euro. Dies entspricht einer Steigerung von 8,2 %. Das Außenhandelsvolumen beläuft sich auf knapp 372 Mrd. Euro - ein Anstieg um 6,7 %. Der Außenhandelsüberschuss reduzierte sich im Vergleich zu 2016 von 16 Mrd. auf 12,3 Mrd. Euro. Welt-weit bestanden seitens des Freistaates aktive Handelsbeziehungen mit 220 von 238 möglichen Handelspartnern.

Wichtigster Exportmarkt waren die USA. Die Länder der EU sind mit einem Anteil von 56,2 % weiterhin die wichtigste Zielregion für bayerische Exporte. Das Absatzwachstum war in absoluten Zahlen in China mit 1,1 Mrd. Euro am stärksten. Einen deutlichen Einbruch verzeichnete der Export ins Vereinigte Königreich (-979 Mio. Euro). Die meisten Waren bezog Bayern aus Österreich.

Die Zahlen 2017 zeigen, bayerische Unternehmen sind auch in handelspolitisch schwierigen Zeiten international erfolgreich. Die hohe Qualität und die zukunftsweisende Ausrichtung der Produkte sind hier ausschlaggebende Faktoren. Die Innovationskraft der Unternehmen ist ein wichtiges Rüstzeug, um auch in Zukunft die Erfolge im internationalen Wettbewerb weiter auszubauen.

Bavaria’s economy - Internationally continuing in the fast lane

In 2017, Bavarian companies exported goods worth 192.1 billion euros. That represents an increase of 5.4% compared to 2016 and sets yet a new foreign trade record – the seventh in a row. But there has also been a clear increase in imports. Bavaria imported goods worth 179.8 billion euros. This represents an increase of 8.2%. The foreign trade volume amounts to just under 372 billion euros and thus rose significantly by 6.7% compared with the previous year. The foreign trade surplus fell from 16 billion euros in 2016 to 12.3 billion euros. The Free State of Bavaria has active trade relations worldwide with a total of 220 out of 238 possible trading partners.

The most important export market was the USA. With a share of 56.2 %, the countries of the European Union remain the most important target region for Bavarian exports. In absolute figures, sales growth was strongest in China with 1.1 billion euros. By contrast, exports to the United Kingdom fell significantly (-979 million euros). The most important import market was Austria.

The 2017 figures are impressive proof that Bavarian companies are internationally successful even in difficult times for trade policy. The high quality and the forward-looking orientation of the products are decisive factors here. The high innovative strength of Bavarian companies is an important factor to continue its successes in international competition.

Folglich spricht der BIHK für rund 990.000 Unternehmen aller Größen und Branchen: vom global operierenden Konzern bis zum inhabergeführten mittelständischen Unternehmen. Der BIHK ist nicht abhängig von einer bestimmten Gruppe von Unternehmern, sondern repräsentiert das Gesamtinteresse der gewerblichen Wirtschaft in Bayern. Seit seiner Gründung im Jahr 1909 ist er die größte Wirtschaftsorganisation im Freistaat Bayern.

About us:The Association of Bavarian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (Bayerische Industrie- und Handelskammertag – BIHK) is the central organisation for the nine Bavarian CCI (Chamber of Commerce and Industry). All Bavarian companies - with the exception of handicraft businesses, the free professions and agricultural businesses- are required by law to join a CCI. Thus, the BIHK speaks on behalf of about 990.000 companies of all sizes and trades. This ranges from global corporations to small and medium sized family run businesses. The BIHK is not dependent upon any one specific company or corporate group, but rather represents the overall concerns of the economy in Bavaria. Ever since its foundation in 1909 the BIHK has been the largest economic organisation in the Free State of Bavaria.
