Live the Liturgy - Inspiration for the Week The love relationship that exists among the Persons of the Holy Trinity is both intense and
intimate. As beautiful as this teaching is, it demonstrates how human language really pales in
trying to capture the essence of God. The Father brings us to the creative, powerful, yet gently
meticulous part of God who has brought mountains and hills into being, as well as each of His
children. Still the Father is more than this. The Son demonstrates the unconditional love of God
filled with endless mercy and compassion. This love really understands the journey of the
marginalized and the poor and has no use for created powers and structures that alienate and hurt
people. But the Son is even more than this. The Holy Spirit is the breath of God who teaches
wisdom and brings understanding, who governs the seasons and discerns the thoughts of human
hearts. Yet the Holy Spirit is still more than this. We worship a God who is beyond and also
intimately bonded to all that he has made, without whom nothing could be sustained in being.
Praise the Holy Trinity!
Diocesan Closing of the
Year of the Eucharist
Feast of Corpus Christi
Next Sunday! We will celebrate the Feast of
Corpus Christi as we close the Year of the Eucharist next Sunday, June
3 with one Mass only at 10:00
a.m. with Bishop Salvatore
Matano, who will be the presider
at this Mass.
After the Mass we will have a Solemn Procession with the
Blessed Sacrament to the four
altars. All are invited to join in the
procession.
This is an opportunity for all
of us to renew our Catholic faith in the Body and Blood of Christ
present in the Eucharist.

Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity Happy Trinity Sunday! In today's Gospel, we
hear Jesus declare together all three Persons of the
Trinity. "Go therefore, and make disciples of all
nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father,
and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit." When we speak of the
Trinity, two different theological words are sometimes used:
immanent and economic. The immanent Trinity is the life of the
three Persons within themselves, the inner harmonious
relationship between Father, Son, and Spirit. We see this in the
Gospels when Jesus speaks of his Father and promises to send the
Holy Spirit. The term "economic" has its roots in the Greek word
oikonomia, roughly meaning "household management." The
economic Trinity is our three-Personed God's relationship with
creation; it is creation and redemption and ongoing relationship
with us. Made in the image and likeness of God, we are called to
imitate God's immanence by giving and receiving love with one
another in community. However, this is not limited only to those
close to us, though that's where love often starts. We also imitate
the economy of God when we go out, when we extend our love
and care in a life-giving way. "Go therefore ?"
Every believer is sent on mission. Every believer is invited
to follow Jesus and the Apostles "to the nations," to the margins,
to the people who require a little extra reach. This could be a
distant relative, the residents of your local homeless shelter or
even the forgotten neighbor next door! When we love well, we
create something beautiful-a relationship, a holy moment, a
foretaste of heaven. This Trinity Sunday, take some time to
examine the relationships in your life. How well do you love
those nearest to you? How well do you reach out to those farther
away? How are you creating something beautiful?
Prayer for the Fallen
God our creator and sustainer,
today our country brings to our memory those
who have defended this nation in times of trouble.
They have sacrificed their lives to protect our shores
from those who would limit our freedoms
or enslave us to ways that are against your will.
Bring all those who have died in service to our country
into your heavenly presence.
We humbly call down your blessing on those still serving;
grant your heavenly protection to these men and women,
and open your Sacred Heart to give them peace and comfort.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.
Memorial Day "No one has greater love than this, to lay
down one's life for one's friends." Christians are no
strangers to sacrifice. Jesus lays down his life for
our redemption, martyrs remain faithful to the end,
and every believer faces "deaths" in the spiritual
life when love requires a re-ordering of preference
and priority. On Memorial Day, we honor those who laid down
their lives for their nation and for the values we espouse - free-
dom, justice, and a better world for our children. In a day that
often fills with barbeques and boat launches, remember to take
some time in prayer! Intercede for those who have died and for
the loved ones they left behind, and pray for peace on earth.
The Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary The Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary is the visit of
Mary with Elizabeth as recorded in the Gospel of Luke (Lk 1:39-
56. Mary visits her relative Elizabeth; they are both pregnant.
Mary is pregnant with Jesus and Elizabeth is pregnant with
John the Baptist. Elizabeth remarks to Mary: “And she spoke out
with a loud voice, and said, Blessed [art] thou among women,
and blessed [is] the fruit of thy womb. And whence [is] this to
me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? For, lo, as
soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe
leaped in my womb for joy. And blessed [is] she that believed:
for there shall be a performance of those things which were told
her from the Lord (Luke 1:42-55)”
It is also at this point, in response to Elizabeth’s remark, that
Mary proclaims the Magnificat (My soul doth magnify the Lord),
(Luke 1:46-55), for which reason this canticle had traditionally
been reserved for this feast day.

Mary’s ‘Helping Hands’… Help Mothers in Poverty Feed Their Families:
Month of May is dedicated to Mary, our Blessed Mother. In honor and thanksgiving to our Lady for her love and care for all, donate food to the Sr. Regis Food Cupboard. Help the mothers in need and living in poverty feed their
families. All foods are GREATLY appreciated. There are some foods which are especially needed: macaroni and tomato sauce, cans of mixed vegetables, beets, collard greens, all kinds of canned fruit, applesauce, and for a special family treat cake mixes and frosting. Even just donating ONE item each week will fill a plate at the table of the poor and a mother will be grateful- especially Mary!

Święto Trójcy Świętej Święto Trójcy Świętej – jedno z najważniejszych liturgicznych świąt chrześcijańskich, obchodzonych ku czci Trójcy Świętej: Boga Ojca, Syna i Ducha Świętego. Objawił nam to Jezus Chrystus.
Zgładziwszy me grzechy ogniem swej świętej miłości,
przychodzisz do mego serca, aby życie moje przepajać świętością,
