Teaching Practice is one of the priorities of the Pedagogical University Tirol.Attached to the PHT are two Practice Schools – Primary and Lower Secondary.
In Addition to a full Bachelor of Education Degree students can take a teaching qualification in•Pre-Vocational Year Education•Workshops for Middle and Higher Technical Schools
The PHT also offers many in-service training courses for more than 11.000 teachers

CLIL Module at the PHT
The forte of the module at the PHT is that one-third of course time is spent on subject methodology and held by the respective subject methodologist rather than the language specialist. The organisation may indeed be more straightforward within a smaller institution.PHT: Module•3 ECTS•Obligatory for all students on Lower Secondary Course•3 Strands: English, German, Maths•Courses on subject methodologies integrated into Module•Back-up on Moodle•No links to teaching practice

Learning Outcomes: Students are expected to have acquired•Knowledge about CLIL principles and theories and an overview of the application of the CLIL Approach in Europe•Knowledge about CLIL Methodologies•The Competence to apply CLIL Methodologies in Second Subject(s) and also to co-operate with colleagues from other subject areas•An awareness of available resources and the ability to work with new media in the CLIL classroom
