Primäre Anforderungen an moderne Kabinensysteme:• Gewicht
� Insbesondere bei Großflugzeugen wie dem Airbus A380 ist das Gewicht ein zentrales Designkriterium für alle Systeme
• Zuverlässigkeit� Jede „Operational Interruption“ kostet Zeit und Geld und senkt langfristig die
Wettbewerbsfähigkeit• Kosten
� Auch die Entwicklungs-, System- und Betriebskosten spielen eine zentrale Rolle im Entwicklungsprozess
Darüberhinaus sind auch folgende Aspekte von Bedeutung:• Gute Wartbarkeit / Servicing
� Water Treatment, Wartungs- und Servicing-Schnittstellen• Customizing
� Flexible Architekturen, z.B. CAN-Bus. Anpassung an verschiedene Cabinen-LayoutsIntegration optionaler Komponenten (z.B. Duschen, Luftbefeuchter, etc.)
• Gute Bedienbarkeit� Komfortable Schnittstellen für Flight-Crew und Passagiere

Primäre Anforderung: Gewicht
Beispielhaft dazu ein paar Zahlen:Das maximale Abfluggewicht einer A380 beträgt ca. 560 Tonnen (Leergewicht 276 Tonnen)
Die Komponenten des gesamte Frischwassersystem (inklusive Tanks, Kompressoren, etc.) dürfen dabei zusammen ca. 145 kg wiegen.
Ein Frischwassertank mit 300 Liter Inhalt, der u.a. einen Überdruck von über 8 bar aushalten muss, wiegt nur ca. 13kg.
An Board einer A380 werden sich ca. 2000 Liter Frischwasser befinden.
� Alle Komponenten müssen gewichtsoptimiert entwickelt werden� Alle Einsparpotentiale müssen genutzt werden
(z.B. Reduzierung des Wasserverbrauchs)

Anforderungen: Weitere Aspekte
Neue Konzepte werden zur Bewältigung steigender Funktionalität und Komplexität benötigt:
�Steigende Anzahl an Passagieren:
A380-Familie: Layouts mit mehr als 550 Plätzen
�Flexible Kabinen-Layouts�Neue optionale Systeme (z.B. Duschen, Luftbefeuchter, etc.)�Mehr Funktionalität gefordert durch Airlines (z.B. Fehlermeldung zum Boden)�Neue Anforderungen, Vorschriften, Standards etc. �Etc..
