In the high and low registers the reeds have a better response and allow for more dynamic due to the perfect scraping. After a little conversion of the Bucher tip profiling machine - with exchange of the main axis - you can also scrape the reeds for historical bassoons and contrabassoon.

The thickness is variable in hundredths of millimetres and the length of thescrape is also adjustable. We offer standard templates, also personal templates, crafted individually according to your reed. The rescraping of defined areas is made possible with precise and easy-to-change correction templates. More than 500 reeds can be scraped with the round knife. The knife replacement doesn‘t require calibration.
