The Red FishA red fish lives in the big blue ocean. The red fish is all alone. The red fish starts looking for a friend.
One day the red fish meets two green fish.“Hello, you green fish. I’m looking for a friend, but I want a red friend. Is there a red fish here?”“No, sorry, there’s no red fish here. We are all green.”“What a pity!” says the red fish and swims away.
The red fish meets three blue fish.“Hello, you blue fish. I’m looking for a friend, but I want a red friend. Is there a red fish here?”“No, sorry, there’s no red fish here. We are all blue.”“What a pity!” says the red fish and swims away.
The red fish meets four pink fish.“Hello, you pink fish. I’m looking for a friend, but I want a red friend. Is there a red fish here?”“No, sorry, there’s no red fish here. We are all pink.”“What a pity!” says the red fish and swims away.
At last the red fish meets lots and lots of fish. They are green and purple and yellow and have beautiful colours. They are playing catch with a rainbow-coloured ball.“Hello! I’m looking for a friend, but I want a red friend. Is there a red fish here?”“No, sorry, there are no red fish here. We are blue and pink and green and purple andyellow, but we are all friends. Come and play with us!”The green fish throws the ball to the red fish and the red fish throws the ball to the yellow fish.
And so they all play a rainbow-coloured game of catch with the rainbow-coloured ball.
They are all very happy.

The Red Fish: Colour games
Memory game
Nun fragt ein Kind ein anderes: “Have you got a red fish?”
Das zweite Kind antwortet entweder: “Yes, I have” oder “No, I haven’t.”
Pass the crayon
So many fish
There are so many fish in the deep blue sea
What coloured fish does (......) see?
