Der Parc Ela

21 Gemeinden, 2 Talschaften, 600 km² Fläche, davon 200 km² weitgehend unberührte Landschaften: Das ist der Parc Ela, der grösste Schweizer Naturpark im Aufbau.

Der Parc Ela ist reich an Natur und Kultur. Im Park liegen drei Moorland-schaften und zehn Ortsbilder von nationaler Bedeutung, die Gletscher im Keschgebiet, zwei bedeutende Burganlagen, eine Wasserscheide, deren Wasser in drei Weltmeere fliesst, und die Albulabahn – seit 2008 UNESCO Weltkulturerbe. Drei Sprachen und drei Kulturkreise kom- men im Parc Ela zusammen, mit ihrer Musik und Geschichte, ihren Sagen und ihrer Kulinarik. Der Parc Ela ist kein Museum, sondern ein Lebensraum, wo Einheimische und Gäste mit Natur und Landschaft respektvoll umgehen.

Mehr als 1000 km markierte Wander-wege stehen Wanderlustigen zur Verfügung. Für aktive Neugierige gibt es sogar Forscherkits zum Ausleihen oder Kaufen. Auch Biker kommen mit über 30 Routen auf Touren. Parc Ela – entdecken und erleben.

Parc Ela

21 communities, 2 valleys, an area of 600 km², 200 km² of which are composed of largely pristine landscape, that is Parc Ela, Switzer-land’s biggest nature park in the process of development.

Parc Ela is rich in nature and culture. In the park, you can find three mire landscapes and ten villages of national importance in terms of their appearance, the glaciers of the Kesch area, two important castles, a water divide whose waters flow into three different seas, and the Albula railway line, which became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2008. Three languages and three cultures meet in Parc Ela, each with their music, their history, their legends and their cooking. Parc Ela is not a museum, but an area to live where locals and guests treat nature and landscape with respect.

More than 1000 km of marked hiking trails are at the disposal of those keen on hiking. Really active visitors can even rent or buy explorer kits. 30 tours are especially allocated to bikers. Parc Ela – discover and explore.

Parc Ela

21 comuni, 600 km2 di superficie, dei quali 200 di natura prevalente-mente intatta formano il Parc Ela, il più grande parco naturale svizzero in allestimento.

Il Parc Ela è ricco di natura e cultura. All’interno dei confini del parco si trovano tre paesaggi palustri e dieci villaggi di importanza nazionale, i ghiacciai della regione del Kesch, due importanti castelli, uno spartiacque da cui le acque fluiscono verso tre mari diversi, e la ferrovia dell’Albula – un sito dell’eredità mondiale dell’UN-ESCO a partire dal 2008. Tre lingue e tre culture si incontrano nel Parc Ela, con la loro musica, la loro storia, le loro leggende e la loro cucina. Il Parc Ela non è un museo, ma un ambiente nel quale locali ed ospiti trattano con rispetto la na- tura e il paesaggio.

Geführte Wanderungen und Exkursionen Ausgebildete Wanderleiter führen Sie zu den schönsten Orten und öffnen Ihnen die Augen für die Schätze im Parc Ela. Brechen Sie auf zu einer Wild-beobachtungstour mit einem Jäger, er- kunden Sie die Alpenflora mit einer Drogistin, besuchen Sie eine Burg mit einem Kenner oder lassen Sie sich von einem Naturheilpraktiker in die Welt der Kräuter einführen. Guided hiking tours and excursionsSpecially trained hiking guides lead you to the most beautiful places and open your eyes to the treasures of Parc Ela. Go on a tour to observe deer with a local hunter or discover alpine flora with a local chemist, visit a castle with an expert or let a local alter-native practitioner introduce you to the world of herbage. Parc Ela still holds a lot of secrets to be discovered.

Mobility in the parkFrom the end of July to the middle of October a bus for hikers runs to Pensa every Tuesday and to Radons every Thursday. In the high season, there is an additional bus route on Thursdays into the Val Faller. The Bus Alpin, which has been in operation since the sum- mer of 2009, runs from Sur to Alp Flix from July to the middle of October. Guests arriving by public transport can hire a Mobility car at Tiefencastel.

Gite guidate ed escursioniGuide esperte vi accompagnano nei posti più belli e vi aprono gli occhi sulle ricchezze del Parc Ela. Partite per osservare gli animali selvatici insieme ad un cacciatore, scoprite la flora alpina con un botanico, visitate un castello con un esperto o fatevi introdurre nel mondo delle erbe da un erborista. Parc Ela custodisce ancora tanti segreti tutti da scoprire.

Mobilità nel parcoDa fine giugno a metà ottobre un bus per escursionisti va a Pensa ogni martedì e a Radons ogni giovedì. Nell’alta stagione – anche di giovedì – va in Val Faller. Inoltre, a partire dall’estate 2009 il Bus Alpin va da Sur all’Alp Flix. Gli ospiti che arrivano con mezzi di trasporto pubblico possono – in caso di necessità – noleggiare una macchina di Mobility alla stazione di Tiefencastel.

Mobil im ParkEnde Juni bis Mitte Oktober fährt ein Wanderbus dienstags nach Pensa und donnerstags nach Radons. In der Hochsaison am Donnerstag zusätzlich ins Val Faller. Seit dem Sommer 2009 fährt zudem der Bus Alpin ab Juli bis Mitte Oktober von Sur auf die Alp Flix.Neben dem PostAuto und der RhB können Gäste, die mit dem ÖV anreisen, bei Bedarf am Bahnhof Tiefencastel ein Mobility-Auto ausleihen.

Via Sett – WeitwanderwegDie Fünftageswanderung beginnt in Thu-sis. Der Wanderer durchquert den Parc Ela bis zum Septimerpass und wan- dert durchs Bergell nach Chiavenna. Die täglichen 5-bis 7 ½-stündigen Wan- derungen lassen sich mit dem öffent-lichen Verkehr verkürzen. Der einst müh-same Alpenübergang der Römer bietet heute jeden erdenklichen Service: Gepäcktransport, Lunchpaket und ausführliche Informationen.

Pfad der PioniereAuf dem Pfad der Pioniere lernen Sie an 13 Informationshalten Pionierleistun-gen von Mensch und Natur im Albula- tal kennen. Der Pfad führt zur Felsnadel des Crap Furò, der geografischen Mitte Graubündens, und kann von Surava nach Alvaneu Bad oder via Plang digls Bovs zurück nach Surava begangen werden. Die Wanderzeit beträgt ca. 2 Stunden.

Via Sett – a long-distance hiking trailThe 5-day hike starts in Thusis. The hiker walks through Parc Ela to the Septimer Pass and then through the Bergell valley to Chiavenna. The daily hikes which take from 5 to 7 ½ hours can be shortened by using of public transport. Crossing of the Alps, which used to be a strenuous affair for the Romans, is now made easier by the numerous services on offer: luggage transport, packed lunch and more.

The Pioneers’ TrailYou can experience what Man and nature have achieved in the Albula val- ley, portrayed on 13 information boards on the Pioneers’ Trail. The trail leads to the rocky pinnacle Crap Furò, the geographic centre of Grisons; you can hike from Surava to Alvaneu Bad and back to Surava via Plang digls Bovs. 2 hours (one-way).

Sentiero dei PionieriSu questo sentiero sperimentate le azioni pionieristiche degli uomini e della natura nella valle di Albula, descritte su 13 cartelli informativi. Il sentiero vi manda fino alla guglia di Crap Furò, al centro geografico del cantone dei Gri- gioni. Si può camminare da Surava ad Alvaneu Bad o – via Plang digls Bovs – anche ritornare a Surava. Durata della camminata 2 ore circa.

Via Sett – camminata di più giorniQuesta escursione di 5 giorni comincia a Thusis. Si attraversa il Parc Ela fino al passo del Settimo e si prosegue attraverso la Val Bregaglia fino a Chiavenna. Si può abbreviare la durata giornaliera delle singole tappe (dalle 5 alle 7 ½ ore) usufruendo dei mezzi di trasporto pubblico. Questo sentiero, che rappresentava in epoca romana un problematico passaggio delle Alpi, offre oggi molti servizi: trasporto bagagli, cestino da lunch, documentazione.

Forscherwanderung ExploratourDie Exploratour, eine Wanderung durch die Erdgeschichte, die erleben lässt, wie Urgesteine die Vegetation von heute beeinflussen. Schlüpfen Sie mit der leihbaren Experimentiertasche Explora-tour in die Haut eines Forschers. Die Tasche enthält ein Handbuch mit Anlei- tungen zu Experimenten und Beo-bachtungen und umfangreiches Forscher-werkzeug wie Geologenhammer und Lupe.

Klettersteig Senda FerradaDer Klettersteig Senda Ferrada weist zwei Steilwände und eine 750 m lange Gratwanderung auf den Piz Mitgel, 3159 m ü. M., auf. Er verbindet das Erlebnis eines sportlichen Klettersteigs und die Besteigung eines 3000ers mit einem fantastischen Gipfelpanorama. Wasescha Sport Savognin bietet geführte Touren mit einheimischem Bergführer und Ausrüstung auf den Piz Mitgel an für CHF 100.–/Euro 67.–.

Exploratour – an excursion for explorersExploratour is a hike through the his- tory of the earth which enables you to experience the influence of primary rock on today’s vegetation. Become an explorer with the help of an Explo-ratour Kit, which can be rented. The kit contains a manual with directions for experiments and observations and a variety of tools, for example a geologic hammer and a magnifying glass.

Fixed-rope route Senda FerradaThe fixed-rope route Senda Ferrada is characterized by two steep faces and a 750 m long hike along a ridge to Piz Mitgel, at 3159 m above sea level. It combines the experience of a stre- nuous fixed-rope route with the ascent of a 3000-metre mountain with a fabulous view from the top. Wasescha Sport Savognin offers guided tours with local mountain guides and equip- ment, for CHF 100.–/Euro 67.–.

Kinderparadies

Erleben Sie unsere einmalige Um-gebung für Familienferien. Viel Natur und frische Luft sorgen für Wohl-behagen bei Kindern und Eltern. Zur Abkühlung springt man in den Lai Barnagn, den glasklaren See im Herzen von Savognin. Durch seine günstige Lage im Talboden hat das Wasser stets eine angenehme Temperatur. Sich auf der geräumigen Liegewiese erho- len, ohne dabei die Kinder aus den Augen zu verlieren. Pedalos, Wasser-trampolin, Sandspielplatz, Beach-volleyballfelder, Minigolf, Schaukeln und Grillstellen sorgen für kurze Weile am alpinen Strand. Wollen die Kleinen einmal unter sich sein, treffen sie sich im Pinocchio Club.

Children’s paradise

Our unique environment is ideal for family holidays. Getting close to nature and fresh air ensures that both parents and children feel good. To cool off, jump into Lai Barnagn with its crystal clear water in the heart of Savognin. Thanks to its ideal loca- tion at the bottom of the valley, the water always has the right tempe-rature. Relax on the spacious meadow while keeping an eye on your children. Pedalos, a water trampoline, sandpits, a beach volley- ball court, miniature golf, swings and spaces for barbecue: there is al- ways something to keep you amus- ed on the alpine shore. If the small ones want to be with other kids, they can meet at the Pinocchio Club.

Pinocchio ClubJuli bis Oktober kostenlos für Kinder ab 3 Jahren. Beim Pinocchio-Meeting- point am See treffen sich unsere erfah- renen und liebevollen Kinderbe-treuerinnen mit den Kindern, machen spannende Spiele und erleben lus- tige Abenteuer. Je nach Wetter findet das Programm im Freien oder im Pinocchio Club statt. Dabei stehen Naturerlebnisse im Vordergrund.

Forscherparcours Alp FlixMit dem Forscherkit von Professor Fix entdecken Ihre Kinder die Artenviel- falt der Alp Flix auf eigene Faust. Auf dem Forscherparcours bauen sie ihr eige - nes Wasserrad, nehmen Spinnen unter die Lupe oder giessen Tierspuren in Gips. Der Parcours ist ideal für Kinder von 7–12 Jahren und dauert ca. 2 Stunden. Das Forscherkit mit Tagebuch ist erhältlich unter anderem bei der Infostelle Parc Ela, CHF 32.–/Euro 21.–.

Pinocchio ClubFrom July to October free for children aged 3 and older. At the Pinocchio lakeside meeting point the children play exciting games and enjoy adventures under the supervision of experienced and caring childminders. Depending on the weather, the program takes place outdoors or at the Pinocchio Club. The main emphasis is on experiencing nature.

Explorer’s course on Alp FlixUsing their Professor Fix Explorer’s Kit children can discover the rich variety of flora and fauna for themselves. Along the Explorer’s Trail they can build their own waterwheel, look at spiders under the magnifying glass or take plaster casts of animal traces. The course takes 2 hours and is designed for children aged 7 to 12. The Explorer’s Kit can be bought at the Parc Ela Infor-mation Centre for CHF 32.–/Euro 21.–.

Pinocchio ClubDa luglio ad ottobre, gratuito per bambini a partire dai 3 anni. Al meeting point Pinocchio sul lago, le nostre esperte ed amorevoli puericultrici incon-trano i bambini ed organizzano per loro giochi entusiasmanti; a seconda del tempo, all’aperto o al Pinocchio Club. Il contatto con la natura rimane sempre la cosa più importante.

Percorso esplorativo dell’Alp FlixCon l’aiuto del kit esploratore del Pro- fessore Fix, i vostri bambini scoprono da soli la varietà delle specie sull’Alp Flix. Durante il percorso possono costruire la loro ruota idraulica, osservare ragni con la lente d’ingrandimento o fare calchi in gesso di tracce di animali. Sesselbahnen Savognin–Tigignas 1600 m ü. M. und Tigignas–Somtgant, 2112 m ü. M. Täglich Betrieb bei guter Witterung vom 19. Juni bis 17. Oktober 2010. Kombinieren Sie Ihre Wande-rungen mit den zwei Sesselliften. Zehn signalisierte Wanderwege von ein- fach bis anstrengend, zwischen 15 Min und 3 ½ Stunden stehen zur Wahl.

Savognin–Tigignas chairlift, 1600 m above sea level and Tigignas–Somt-gant chairlift, 2112 m above sea level; from 19 June to 17 October 2010, daily in good weather conditions. Combine your hikes with the two chairlifts. Choose between ten mar- ked hiking trails, from easy to difficult, taking from 15 minutes to 3 ½ hours.

Savognin Pass

Our guest card Savognin Pass, which you get for at least one over- night stay in our holiday region, entitles you to various services – ei-ther free of charge or at a reduced rate – during summer/autumn 2010. Free of charge are your travels by Post Bus in Surses, the Pinocchio Club and the entrance to the museum. The bus for hikers, the Bus Alpin, our guided tours and many more attrac- tions are available at a reduced rate.

Le seggiovie Savognin-Tigignas (altitudine 1600 m s.l.m.) e Tigignas-Somtgant (altitudine 2112 m s.l.m.) sono in servizio quotidianamente – col bel tempo – dal 19 giugno al 17 ottobre 2010. Combinate le vostre passeggiate con le due seggiovie. Potete scegliere fra dieci sentieri seg- nalati – da facile ad impegnativo – con tempi di percorrenza da 15 min a 3 ½ ore.

Auf den Strecken Tigignas–Savognin, Somtgant–Tigignas und Somtgant–Naladas–Tigia–Tigi-gnas–Savognin stehen Ihnen diesen Sommer fünf verschiedene Funroll- geräte zur Wahl. 1 Stunde testen für CHF 11.–/Euro 8.–.

NTC-Seilpark mit Flying FoxHöhenflüge garantiert der Hochseilpark bei Tigignas. Auf dem Einschulungs-, dem Kinder-, dem Trainings- und dem Flying Fox Parcours fliegen Sie wie Tarzan und Jane durch die Luft. Der Flying Fox ist mit seinen 500 m Seillänge der längste Parcours der Schweiz. Kinder ab 8 Jahren und einer Grösse von 1,40 m sind herzlich willkommen. NTC High-Wire Park with Flying FoxThe sky is the limit at the High-Wire Park in Tigignas. No matter what course you’re on, be it preparatory, for children, a training course or the Flying Fox course, you hurtle through the air like Tarzan and Jane. Flying Fox with its 500 m of rope is the longest of its kind in Switzerland. Children aged 8 and older and at least 1.40 m tall are welcome. Children under 14 must be accompanied by a parent. Alle neu ausgeschil-derten Strecken von total über 240 km führen ab der Talstation in Savognin sternförmig ins Tal zwischen Albula- und Julierpass. Hier befindet sich auch der Bike-Infopoint mit zwei Pano-ramatafeln, Routenvorschlägen und aktuellen Hinweisen. Die topo- grafische Lage ermöglicht Tracks, die das Herz eines jeden Bikers höher schlagen lassen. Ein sanft geschwun-genes, offenes Tal – umrahmt von rauen Bergketten, Schluchten, Berg- wiesen und unberührten Hoch- mooren – bietet sich geradezu an, auf zwei Rädern erkundet zu werden.

Una valle aperta, circondata da ripide catene mon- tuose, gole, prati alpini e paludi intat- te, sembra quasi chiedere di essere scoperta sulle due ruote.

All the newly marked trails, totalling more than 240 km, start at the valley station in Savognin and converge in the valley between the Albula and Julier Passes. This is where you will also find the Info- point for bikers, featuring two panoramic maps, suggestions for rou- tes and up-to-date tips. The topo-graphy of this area produces tracks which would make any cyclist swoon. This gently undulating and open valley, surrounded by rugged mountain ranges, gorges, mountain meadows and unspoiled mire landscapes, is just waiting to be ex- plored by visitors on two wheels.

«Seias bagnnia viandant, antre!» mit diesen Worten werden Gäste im Surses willkommen geheissen. Es ist Romanisch, die 4. Landessprache der Schweiz, genauer gesagt Surmiran, der lokale Dialekt des Romanischen. Mag dem Romanischen auch der Ein- druck von Folklore anhaften, hier im Surses wird Romanisch gesprochen und gelebt.

Sprachenvielfalt in Bivio

Der Name Bivio bedeutet «Wegschei-de» und ist untrennbar mit den beiden Römerpässen Septimer und Julier verbunden. Das 230-Seelen-Dorf hat wohl die sonderbarsten Sprachver-hältnisse ganz Europas. Die offizielle Sprache ist Italienisch, der Einfluss des Tourismus verdrängt diese kultur- bedingte Sprache leider immer mehr. Heute spricht man in Bivio Deutsch, Romanisch und Italienisch.

The official lan-guage is Italian but the influence of tourism unfortunately pushes this culturally-determined language more and more aside. Today German, Romanic and Italian are spoken in Bivio.
