Telescopic mast system and trailer-based substructure
Hoisting systemThe hoisting system consists of a central single cylinderwith enhanced buckling resistance. The central cylinder isintegrated inside the inner moving mast section directlybelow the main rope top sheaves.The double reeved, twin-wire rope system allows the topdrive twice the lifting stroke and speed of the cylinder. Thehoisting system enables lifting and pull down operations.
Hydraulic power unitThe hydraulic power unit is installed on the main rig trailerand powers all rig functions.Bauer offers 2 different drive options – diesel or electricallydriven.
Substructure and drill floorThe trailer-based substructure is equipped with a self-erecting system to lift the drill floor including driller’s cabinand power tong to the final working position. The clearheight of 4.1 m below drill floor allows sufficient space forBOP installations.

The compact transport unit including driller’s cabin, powertong, walkways ans handrails allows fast movingoperations with high HSE standards.
Pipe handling systemThe automated pipe handling system with hands-offtechnology allows drill pipe and casing operation withoutthe necessity of a finger board and increases the personalsafety.For redundancy reasons the pipes can also be handled byusing the utility winch and the V-door ramp.
MastThe self-standing, telescopic mastconsists of two independent sectionswith box-type profiles. Two integrated backstay cylinders raisethe mast system into the workingposition including crown block and topdrive. The telescopic mast system is designedto handle drill pipes and casings up toRange III.The mast system also allows sufficientspace for casing operations with casingrunning tools combined with Range IIIcasings. No external guy lines arenecessary.

Driller’s cabinThe double seated driller’s cabin is located on the drillfloor and offers a high quality workplace with joystickcontrol. The driller controls all drilling functions centrallyfrom the ergonomic and air-conditioned cabin. The built-ininstrumentation system provides clear information to thedriller at any time.The system is optionally equipped with a digital datavisualization and data acquisition system.
Transport and set-upThe compact and trailer-based transport unit allows a fast andsafe moving and rig-up/down operation and a reduction oftransport costs. The compact footprint of the unit, reduces thecosts for wellsite preparation and the environmental impact.
Top driveThe hydraulically driven top drive BAUER TDK 32-150 H isbased on 40 years of experience in manufacturing rotaryheads for drilling rigs. It is designed to meet advancedperformance standards in terms of high drilling torque,high make up and break out torque, rotation speed,reliability and serviceability.
