DESIGN CONTEST ALTER WARNOWARM, ROSTOCK 2012 �DE�concept ‘Park am Petriviertel’ is part of an integral waterfront park of the city of Rostock. This natural modelled park is designed as a romantic pedestrian park. Continuous curves create meandering parkpromenades, connecting the north and south side. A sustainable community centre (recycled car tires) was specially designed for the pleasure yachts marina. Together with the natural reed banks and choice for indigenous vegetation the design has minimal impact on the local environment.

DESIGN CONTEST MSC IN MANAGEMENT, VENLO 2012 �NL�concept Logo and website design for the Fontys Master of Science in Management study (double contribution). Excelsior: ambition and structure as key words of this study, translated to an upward orientated and arrow-like logo. Impulse: a stylised reinterpretation of the current logo’s four outer edges, refering to the diff erent stages of the study.

DESIGN CONTEST RIJNWAALPAD, ARNHEM�NIJMEGEN 2011 �NL�concept ’De Fietsketting’ (bicycle chain): planning and designing a series of visual adaptable nodes across the bikeway, reducing the experience of distance by adding a visual iconic and attractive design identity (kiosks, service points). These individually perceptible kiosks stimulate users to continue, by shortening the distance experience, and will anticipate a pleasant ride.

ELABORATION DESIGN GRADUATION PROJECT CONTRAFRONT, NIJMEGEN 2010 �NL�concept The rigid, though fl exible urban plan consists of enclosed units alternatingly retrieving it’s city edge from the river dike. Therefore creating a new endowed space with the citadel as the center piece of the river landscape; instead of being swallowed by the new urban masses. High-density building units release pressure on rural spaces by adding green buff er zones and a fl uxing city edge.

PRIVATE LANDSCAPE GARDEN DESIGN, STUTTGART 2009 �DE�concept Color is the main theme and will connect the front and back, in the shape of a very powerful and colorful fl ower ribbon. It creates unity and accentuates the altitude lines. A color explosion of perennials, annual weeds, and ornamental plants, shrubs and grasses will be the most prominent feature. This will both contrast with and complement the natural vegetation of the surrounding forests.
