Ziel ist es – mehr Transparenz zu schaffen– eine bessere Zusammenarbeit zu ermöglichen– Austausch von Daten zu erleichtern– ungeahnte Nutzungszenarien zu erlauben
Das bedeutet– die Hürden so niedrig wie möglich zu halten
• nicht proprietäre Formate zu nutzen (JSON, CSV, XML, HTML, RDF etc.)• proaktives Bereitstellen der Daten

Warum soll ich überhaupt Ihre Daten freigeben?Was habe ich davon?
Mögliche Antworten– Gute Presse– Die Qualität meiner Daten wirft ein gutes Licht auf mich.– Befriedigung von 'Stakeholder' Bedarf– Die anderen haben schon ihre Daten freigegeben, was ist meine Ausrede?– Vielleicht werden meine Daten für etwas sehr sinnvolles eingesetzt.– Ich will es einfach mal ausprobieren und gucke was dabei rauskommt.

Gerechtigkeitsempfinden wird verletzt/gestört (die anderen bekommen alles umsonst / sollten andere Geld damit machen können?)vor Verlust der Deutungshoheit über die Datenvor Kritik an der Qualität der Daten Datenqualität könnte gefährdet werden (nur 15 anstatt 99 Felder)jemand mach mehr aus den Datenersetzbar zu werdenAufwand und Kosten sei zu hochnicht das nötige Know-how zu habenEntscheidungen zu treffen, die man später bereut (CC0)ob ich das überhaupt darf?
