Glove-Boxes are usually used for handling of hydroscopic, toxic, pyrophorous or radioactive materials or for keeping experiments and/or processes under germ- and/or dust free
inert gas atmosphere. Our glove-box design is based upon the specification of German standard DIN 25412 and
in the course of over 30 years, consistently developed further. GLOVE - PORTS: Are either attached to the glove-box body or to the front-window depending on the materials used. Glove-ports can be delivered in stainless steel, aluminium, PVC or PMMA and may be mounted by screwing, welding or gluing in standard dimensions of Dia.200/180 mm (7,9/7,1 in) VIEWING-PANELS: Made from PMMA, PC or glass. Windows are removable tightened and designed for comfortable mounting. ILLUMINATION: Fluorescent and/or UV lights Mounted on top or on the window frame. Dazzle-free with maximum brightness. As well in Ex-proof design. BASE FRAME Stainless steel /steel powder coated, mobile or stationary with automatic or manual adjustment
ANTE-CHAMBER: Usually made from stainless steel and locked by doors of stainless steel, aluminum or plastic. Vacuum connectors are preferably using standard small flanges. Easy material transfer is ensured using drawer which may be pulled out of the ante chamber in booth directions. Depending on customer demand, the ante chamber may have a rectangular or circular cross section and different lengths. Extremely long ones will be separately supported. The illustration shows a glove-box for investigations of human tissue samples at -25°C . The refrigeration set, protected installed in the under frame. The glove-box consists of 2 stainless steel housings with intermediate cooling isolation. Door case and window frameworks are equipped for the avoidance of condensate and/or ice formation with limiting heaters. For investigations, 2 iris-ports and a centric nozzle for transfer are usable. For machine down-time at minus degrees, the ports will be closed over the shown sealing caps.
