Der rapide Klimawandel beeinflusst stark
die Biodiversität - besonders in den
Alpen.
GLORIA-EUROPE hat eine Langzeit-
Monitoringmethode entwickelt, um die
allgemeinen Entwicklungen darzustellen.
Ziel ist es unter anderem, die Methode
weltweit anzuwenden.
Dazu sind Monitoringstandards gefragt,
um eine einheitliche Dokumentation zu
bekommen.

Project Summary
Ecosystems provide a number of
vital services for European
people and society. Global
environmental changes such as
climate change, land use change
and atmospheric pollution can
have significant effects on these
ecosystem services. For example,
the capacity of European
ecosystems to provide fresh
water, agricultural products,
biodiversity and recreational
opportunities is likely to be
affected by global change.
Eight practical examples for the calculation of the
ecosystem service values, for different surface types,
based on the example National Park Berchtesgaden
Ecosystem services
Ecosystem services are the benefits people obtain from ecosystems.
These include
Provisioning services such as food and water;
Regulating services such as regulation of floods, -drought, -land
degradation, and -disease;
Supporting services such as soil formation and nutrient cycling; and
Cultural services such as recreational, spiritual, religious and other
nonmaterial benefits.
