Die Tagesordnung wird in der im vorliegenden Protokoll ausgewiesenen Fassung angenommen:
Punkt 9, „Für den Ausschuss ENVI relevante STOA-Tätigkeiten“, wird von der Tagesordnung gestrichen und auf eine spätere Ausschusssitzung vertagt; die Punkte 19 und 20 zum Thema Pharmakovigilanz (Berichterstatterin Linda McAvan) werden von der Tagesordnung gestrichen und auf eine spätere Ausschusssitzung vertagt.

2.1 Dolmetschangebot
Es stehen am Dienstagvormittags alle Sprachen außer Estnisch, Lettisch und Maltesisch zur Verfügung.
2.2 IAC-Bericht
Der Vorsitzende weist den Ausschuss darauf hin, dass UN-Generalsekretär Ban Ki-Moon den Inter Academy Council (IAC) beauftragt hat, einen unabhängigen Bericht über die Verfahren und Methoden des Weltklimarats (IPCC) zu erstellen.

C.1. EFSA Management Board - EP opinion on the appointment of 7 new members
The papers for the meeting included:

agreed that a special evaluation meeting should be convened on 7 April 2010 (date and time to be confirmed subject to the availability of a suitable meeting room).

C.2. Application of Rule 50 to the 'CO2 emissions from light commercial vehicles (LCV) file
The papers for the meeting included a letter of 4 February 2010 from Mr Leinen to Mr Lehne.
Decision
The coordinators heard Mr Callanan, rapporteur; invited Mr Callanan to proceed in close cooperation with the shadow rapporteurs; invited Mr Callanan and the Chair to negotiate (as foreseen by Rule 50) with their
counterparts a list of those provisions of the draft regulation which should be considered as falling under the joint competence of both committees.

C.3. Re-establishment of HealthWorking Group
Decision
The coordinators re-enacted the traditional mandate(1) of the Health Working Group and agreed that the EPP and the S&D groups should nominate the two co-chairs (Mr Peterle and Ms Willmott respectively).
C.4. Use of ENVI expertise budget - request by Ms De Lange to authorise a workshop in the context of the report on the implementation of biodiversity legislation
Decision
The coordinators took the decision of principle to authorise the organisation of a workshop in the last week of April, to be financed form ENVI's expertise budget.
Detailed specifications (on the basis of a concrete proposal from the rapporteur) would be refined in a written procedure with group staff, whereas indications as to the likely costs involved and the overall usage of the ENVI expertise budget in 2010 should be provided by Policy Department A.
C.5. Use of ENVI expertise budget - request by Ms Klaß to authorise a workshop on biocidal products
[Note: The proposed date for the workshop is the 15th of April 2010, from 9h until 12h30.]

The coordinators authorised the commissioning of briefing papers providing Members with background information in view of the delegation to Iceland.
These briefings would address topical environmental, public health and food safety issues in Iceland, e.g.
an analysis of the acquis communautaire, especially in the fields of the environment, public health and food safety, which Iceland is required to apply under the EEA agreement
the state of play of accession negotiations climate change and Iceland's role in developing alternative sources of energy, in
particular geothermal energy biodiversity issues, in particular fisheries and whaling
