OUR SERVICE AND GUARANTEE

Delivery - Standard delivery of stocked items will be within 7 working days. Express delivery is available upon request.

Installation - We are able to offer comprehensive installation of your furniture upon request.

Warranty - Your furniture is built to last. We have a commercial warranty for 1 year, although we guarantee our materials for up to 10 years. Look out for our warranty stamps in each range.

We source sustainable materials and utilise factories that possess fair and appropriate employee conditions. Wherever possible, the waste generated from our production is recycled.

FSC certified timber is vital to Alexander Rose. We comply with the values of FSC, as defined in the “Policy for the association of organisations with FSC”. All of the timber used in Alexander Rose furniture is FSC certified.

We are proud to be a member of the national ‘Made Aware’ environmental scheme run by LOFA (Leisure and Outdoor Furniture Association). This enables companies involved to progressively improve the environmental and social impacts of the products they sell.

Manufactured in our own factory, Alexander Rose Roble furniture is made using 100% FSC pure timber from managed forests in Bolivia.

Roble is a hardwood which is light yellow in colour. It has a smooth lustre and texture with a closely interlocked grain and has similar qualities to Teak. Roble is a robust, strong and sustainable alternative to other woods.

With a lifespan of 25 years, your Roble furniture will give your venue a classically elegant and traditional feel, year after year.

Each piece within our Tivoli range is made in our own factory using the highest grade FSC Roble from the environmentally managed forests of Bolivia.

The Tivoli designer collection takes timber furniture to a new level of design, sophistication and detailed craftsmanship. The Scandinavian design of the Tivoli range features precise angles, joints and an array of horizontal slats, putting a contemporary twist on a typically traditional material.

With durability of 15 years, our FSC Mahogany is sourced from managed forests in The Congo.

Our Broadfield bench is a flagship product for Alexander Rose, as we were the first company to introduce curved back slats into traditional garden benches, giving lumber support and added comfort. To date we have sold over 100,000 pieces.

We supply personalised plates in brass and stainless steel and can engrave directly onto the timber.

Alexander Rose Pine picnic furniture can be seen in many pubs and golf clubs around Europe.

We only use carefully selected FSC timber from responsibly managed forests in Eastern Europe. Each piece has been treated in order to make it suitable for outdoor use. The yellow green colour mellows over time to an attractive silver grey.

Parasols are operated using a pulley and locking pin system. Simply pull the rope down to raise the parasol up to the desired height, place the

pin in one of the pole holes to secure. To lower the parasol remove the locking pin, slowly let the rope pass through your hands until the canopy is folded and upright. We

recommend that it is not left up in windy conditions, and that you use one of our Granite bases to add

stability.

The UHGB240 is a 4 piece base to be used only with the 4m x 4m parasol. Each granite slab weighs 60kg. Our Portofino cushions are reversible; one side with a

large decorative two tone grey pattern, the other in solid grey. The cushions come with ties for securing to the frames.

They are made from polyester with a foam filling.

Alexander Rose recommends maintaining your cushions in order to prevent the need for deep cleaning. It is always best to clean any dirt or spills before they become embedded into the fabric.

Cushion Care

Cleaning Tips1. Brush off any loose dirt.

2. Prepare a cleaning solution of 1:16 mild detergent to lukewarm water.

3. Use a sponge or a soft bristle brush to clean.

4. Allow cleaning solution to soak into the fabric.

5. Rinse thoroughly to remove all soap residue.

Furniture TreatmentsFormulated care products to enhance your furniture’s appearance.Alexander Rose manufactures timber furniture which will last for many years. Over time, as part of the natural weathering process, cracks and splits will appear in the wood particularly on the end grain and to a lesser extent on the surface. The drier the wood, the more cracks will appear due to the evaporation of natural oils and minerals in the wood from exposure to the elements. This is a normal characteristic for any timber which remains outdoors. Our timber furniture is designed with this in mind and its strength and durability will remain unaffected. Wooden furniture can be treated with our specially formulated care products to give a beautiful rich finish and enhance the look of the wood. Alternatively it can be left to turn a mellow silver grey, and should be cleaned occasionally with soapy water.

Furniture MaintenanceProduct maintenance is easy, just follow our advice.

Weave Maintenance

We recommend that woven furniture is cleaned at least once a year. It is important to use a non-foaming cleaner on woven furniture, as a foaming product will leave residues in the gaps in between the weave which will then attract dirt.

A pressure hose on a low wide spray setting is acceptable to use on woven furniture at a distance of approximately one metre from the product. Tables should be cleaned carefully with a sponge and a cleaner. Follow the instructions below;

• Apply lukewarm water with a soft cloth or sponge. • Brush the furniture clean with a soft scrubbing pad.• Rinse furniture well with clean water.

Scratch marks or abrasion to the edges of the fibre can be repaired by very briefly and carefully applying heat (i.e. the heat of a hair dryer) to the affected area and rubbing along the length of the fibre with a piece of hard cardboard to restore a smooth edge.

To clean the table top glass we suggest the use of any household glass or window cleaner.

Alexander Rose Woven furniture is made from the highest quality synthetic man-made fibre available, Rose fibre. Rose fibres are UV and fully weather resistant, and also insensitive to differences in temperature. The Rose fibre is produced for Alexander Rose by Viro, and is tested rigorously to ensure they meet with our exacting standards.

The structure of all our woven furniture is made from fully welded, powder-coated aluminium frames. The aluminium tubes we use have a wall thickness of 1.5 mm to provide maximum strength and a lightweight frame. Once a frame has been covered in its woven skin the furniture becomes even stronger. The aluminium frames are electrostatically powder coated to prevent them from oxidisation. Our weavers are highly skilled, often 2nd and 3rd generation weavers. They use their traditional experience with natural materials and apply their skills to using the modern man-made fibres.

Timber MaintenanceWeathering occurs over a period of time and you can expect to see changes in the timber after a few weeks. Timber is a natural material, it absorbs moisture in wet conditions and is likely to expand. In dry conditions the timber dries and may well shrink and, as the material moves surface cracks will appear in the timber. You can maintain the appearance of your furniture by lightly sanding down the timber and applying one of our formulated care products.

Stainless Steel Cleaner and Polish

Alexander Rose Avant and A-Class furniture is made using 304 grade stainless steel, the industry standard for outdoor furniture applications. As with any items left outside stainless steel requires maintenance to keep it looking as new. Stainless steel is resistant to corrosion, but in some cases the surface of the steel may develop small brown spots. These spots are commonly caused by the effects of salt water and air-bourne chemicals and this process is likely to be accelerated in coastal areas. These spots in no way affect the strength and integrity of your furniture, they are simply superficial discolourations that require cleaning with our stainless steel cleaner and polish.

Maintenance Advice

When using stainless steel cleaner and polish use protective gloves. Cover the ground under your working area before you begin.

• Shake the bottle well before use.• Apply cleaner and polish using the pad provided.• Brush the furniture clean with pad.• Apply cleaner and polish using the cloth provided. Allow to soak for 1 minute.• Buff to shine using a soft, clean and dry cloth.

Stainless Steel Maintenance

The Portofino range requires minium maintenance, although we recommend cleaning your furniture every year. The range is made using grey powder coated mild steel. The frames begin with a cleaning and phosphate treatment which provides effective rust protection. Next is a cathodic dip coating where a layer of primer is evenly applied via an electrochemical process. This is the perfect bonding agent for the powder coating treatment. Powder coating the frames result in a smooth finish and provides an effective layer of protective skin. Once dry they recieve yet another coating. Giving the frames two layers of treatment ensures it will last outdoors for many years. The Portofino range is smooth to touch, weather resistant and practically maintenance free.

• Only clean using a damp cloth and mild detergent. Do not use bleach or abrasive cleaners.• From time to time check that there are no loose screws on the tables, this is to prevent damage occuring to table legs.

Furniture AnchorsAnchor your furniture for stability and security.

We have designed two types of anchors for either soft or hard surfaces. Using an Alexander Rose soft ground anchor kit avoids the need for concrete and installation is quick and easy without any mess. Our soft ground anchors come with solid brass plates that screw onto the outside legs of your furniture. These have sleeves to allow the anchors to pass through and penetrate the surface. When an anchor approaches its maximum depth (500mm) a curved fluke is released to grip the furniture further into the surface, adding more security. Our hard ground anchors or bolt down anchors are designed to be used with concrete, they have a maximum depth of 110mm and require a 20mm masonary drill bit to install them.
