Schon seit 40 Jahren erschafft der US Künstler sein Bestiarium, voller Wärme, Humor und Gefühl. Seine eigenwilligen und fein-sinnigen Kreationen schmücken Eingangshallen, Wohnräume und Salons, Büros, Tiergärten und Museen, bis hin zum Flughafen Orlando in Florida und dem New York Thruway: Lebensgroße In-dianer und Cowboys, über-lebensgroße Darstellungen von Strau-ßenvögeln und Gürteltieren.

Sein Atelier steht in Charlevoix im US-Bundesstaat Michigan. Dort haucht er Leben in seine Tonfiguren. Sein Erfolg liegt im Lä-cheln seiner Zuschauer und Sammler. „In meiner Arbeit wohnt ein natürlicher Sinn für feinen Humor. Man muss sich deswegen nicht vor Lachen krümmen. Mir geht es vielmehr darum, Leute zum Lächeln zu bringen.“

Todd Warner ist international bekannt für seine unwiderstehli-chen Tierskulpturen, die das Wesentliche und das Wesen der Tie-re einfangen und so den Tieren der Natur und der Natur der Tiere gleichermaßen Ausdruck verleihen.

With warmth, humour, and sensitivity, US-sculptor Todd War-ner has been creating his imaginarium for over 40 years. From life-size cowboys and Indians to bigger-than-life ostriches and armadillos, Warner‘s sophisticated whimsy adorns lobbies and living rooms, entryways and offices, zoos, museums, - even the Orlando International Airport and the New York Thruway.

Des Amérindiens et cow-boys de grandeur naturelle aux autruches et tatous démesurés : ses créations capricieuses et subtiles décorent des halls d’entrée, des salons et bureaux, des jardins zoologiques et des musées – même l’aéroport d’Orlando à Floride et le New York Thruway :

Dans son atelier à Charlevoix, Michigan, il anime ses figurines en terre glaise. Un sourire de ses spectateurs et collecteurs est son succès. « Il y a un bon sens d’humour dans mon travail. On ne doit pas être plié en deux, j’aime faire le monde sourire. »

Todd Warner est connu sue le plan international pour ses sculp-tures d’animaux irrésistibles, capturant l’essentiel des animaux de sorte qu’il ne manifeste pas seulement les animaux de la nature mais aussi la nature des animaux.
