greatest demands both from the aes-

thetic and the functional point of

view. No matter whether in banks,

department stores, administration

buildings, hotels or offices – modern

ceramic tiles are absolutely predes-

tined for such demanding areas of

application. This applies even more to

the porcelain stoneware series of the

segment Public Life: with their finely

matched colours and sophisticated

surface structures, with expressive

decorations and an unsurpassed varie-

ty of sizes that can be combined

within a modular system as well as

the latest large formats, they offer

planners enormous creative scope.

But there are also decisive practical

advantages: all tiles presented in this

brochure are rectified and thus per-

mit the attractive laying in semi-

bonds with a particularly narrow

joint. They are extremely resistant to

stress and wear as well as slip-resist-

ant (R9 – R11). And thanks to the Pro-

tecta surface upgrading, they are per-

manently protected against stains

and very easy to clean – an advantage

resulting in reduced maintenance

costs.

Unglasierte Bodenfliesen sind von Natur aus strapazier-

fähig und unempfindlich. Doch in den feinen „Micro-

Poren“ können sich mit der Zeit Staub und Schmutz

ablagern, sowie fleckbildende Substanzen eindringen.

Deshalb erhalten die unglasierten Feinsteinzeugfliesen

des Segments „Public Life“ schon während der Her-

stellung im Werk einen dauerhaften Spezialschutz

gegen Flecken und Verunreinigungen: Die bewährte

Protecta oberflächenvergütet.

Protecta-Oberflächenvergütung geht während des

Brennens eine innige Verbindung mit dem Fliesen-

körper ein und schließt alle Poren an der Fliesenober-

fläche. Daher können selbst Öle und Fette auf Pro-

tecta-vergüteten Fliesen keine Spuren hinterlassen.

Und eine nachträgliche Imprägnierung nach dem

Verlegen ist nicht mehr erforderlich.

Unglazed floor tiles are hard-wearing and resistant by

nature. But in the course of time, dust and dirt may

deposit in the fine “micropores”, and substances form-

ing stains may penetrate. That is why the unglazed

porcelain stoneware tiles of the segment “Public Life”

are provided with a durable special protection against

stains and dirt already during their production.

Protecta surface upgrading.

During the firing process, the proven Protecta surface

upgrading is ceramically bonded to the biscuit and

closes all pores on the tile surface. Therefore, even oils

and fats can leave no marks on tiles with Protecta

upgrading. And the subsequent impregnation after

laying is no longer required.
